Abstract

The ‘fourth paradigm’ of research involves looking for patterns in data without the aid of an underlying model. The Community Capability Model Framework (CCMF) was designed to assess an academic community's ability to perform such research, and suggest ways in which this might be improved. The full CCMF consists of eight factors, each made up of several dimensions and modes. This talk explains how the CCMF was developed and the meaning of constituent parts.
